School rules are made by principal and follow by students. In the most class' contract, the teacher didn't mention the students bring beepers. However, the school rules have points that: No hat, coat, Walkman, beepers, food or drink or chewing gun are allowed in the classroom. Generally, I think the rules are reasonable. I can follow these basic rules, and most of students do so. But, minority students argue that it doesn't matter to carry pagers to school. They also have some reasons for that: most students bring beepers because their parents want to reach their children more easily in an emergency. The emergency is not happened often, just once or few times. If parents want to reach their children in an emergency, they can call for the school office, and tell the officer why they reach their children, then the officer talk to the student immediately.

Hence, I think beepers should banned in school, because some educators believe that beepers are associated with drug deals and gang activity, so banning beepers can make school safer. Yes, the beepers are mainstream now, it may cost in expensive price and it will make students to waste money. I think it's not necessary. Finally the main point is that students get beeped during class will distracted form learning. It's really not worthwhile.
